Show OGDEN EAGLES DEPART EOR CONVENTION AT SALT LAKE Ogden aerie No. 118, Fraternal Order Or-der of Eagles, will be represented at the fourth annual tri-state convention of the order, which opened today at Salt Lake City, by the following delegates: dele-gates: Sam Thomas. J. W. Griffin. F. C. Lane, W. II. Luddington, J. W. Farley T. S Shaughnessy, A. Rogers, Past Worthy President William Doyle, Worthy President G F. Roach and Secretary Earl Gelger. The delegates departed for Salt Lake City this morning and the degree de-gree team of the local lodge will join them tonight, leaving for Salt Lake at 0 o'clock. At the opening session this morning, morn-ing, M M Beaver, president of the Salt Lake aerie, welcomed the visit-lug visit-lug delegates to Zioh and President Max Davidson resjonded to his welcome. wel-come. A business session was held Immediately aiter until 2:30 o'clock. The present districts of tho tri state aorlrf will undergo a reorganization at the business meeting. The tri state aerie now Includes all of the aeries in Utah, Idaho and Nevada, but after the reorganization it is predicted that the districts of Idaho and Nevada will be rearranged to conform to geographical geographi-cal conditions. This will result in centra lining and concentrating the work of the present combination. Ogden Team Will Be Honored. At 7 o'clock this evening the local degree team will meet the Ogdeu aerie team at the Bamberger depot In uniform and the two organizations will then march to the Ncwhouse hotel, ho-tel, where dinner will be served. At 9 o'clock the Ogden team will present an exemplification of the ritual at tho Salt Lake hall. Frederick Hughes, grand treasurer, and Conrad H. Mann, grand worthy president, will then address ad-dress the assembled Eagles. The convention will again be cnlled to order tomorrow at 10 a. m. and the business session will be conducted until un-til 2:30 o'clock At 8 o'clock the delegates del-egates will attend the ball gam between be-tween Salt Lake and Venice in a body On Thursday all unfinished business will be considered. At 2 o'clock there will be an excursion to Bingham via the Bingham & Garfield railroad. At 8 o'clock that evening the convention will be concluded with a grand-ball at Bingham oo |
