Show Society K. OF C. DANCE TONIGHT. The annual holiday dance of Ogden Council No. 777, Knights of Columbu$, will be held tonight in the Knights of Pythias hall on Grant avenue. This affair has been awaited for the past month with more than ordinary inter, est, due to the well-known ability of the Knights committee to entertain. It is antcipated that every member of the council will attend the party, as well as a few specially invited guests. Refreshments will be served betwen dances and the music for tho evening will be furnished by Crawford's Craw-ford's orchestra. The arrangement committee is composed of Dr. J. P. Di-neen, Di-neen, W. j. Dermody, Ray Morrissey, Harold Veasy, L. J. Carter and Charles A. Maguiro, and tho following knights will act as a floor committee: P. K. Smith, Bernard Bauchman, Jos. Egan, Neil Gregory, Ed. Morrissey and Ned "RrnnVnr BOHEMIAN CLUB DANCE TONIGHT. Society folk of Salt Lake City, Brigham City, Logan and other cities of the states and a number from other states will be giiests tonight of the Bohemian club, at its annual holiday ball. Quite a number of invitations, residents by the rules of the club, have been accepted. This party, which will be held in the Berthana hall, will be the second of the season for tho city's most select social organization and the board or directors, assisted by Secretary J. Orson Douglas, has provided a fine program or entertain, ment. Music for the dancing will be furn. ished by a large orchestra under the fHrppfinn nf Alice I illinn Thotnlini- on1 the program will be one of late scores specially selected for the occasion. A light luncheon will be served during the evening in the Berthana banquet room and other refreshment will bo served at the ball room fountain. DAUGHTERS OF PIONEERS. . Company E., Daughters of Pioneers, will meet Thursday at 2:30 o'clock with Mrs. Snedaker, 3104 Adams ave-nue; ave-nue; Company K with Mrs. Barker at Riverdale and Company L with Mrs. Hattie Jackson. MARTHA SOCIETY PRAISED. The Martha society was praised today to-day at the Standard oflice by J. J. Larson, whose children have been cared for at tht Day Nursery for nearly a year past at his request. "I want to express my gratitude to the Martha Society publicly, he said, for tho beautiful Christmas celebration celebra-tion held at the Day -Nurserj' and I know that others in my position also feel that it was a God-send to us and our children." This celebration was one of the finest fin-est and most deeply appreciated of any given in tho city this year. Speaking Speak-ing of it today, the matron, Mrs. Dora Tracy said that much credit should be given the ladies of ihe Martha Society who made it possible by fur nishing the home wherein it was staged and to them and others who added to the pleasure of the forty-four forty-four children who participated in it, by gifts of toys, books, candy and nuts and other things. The Primary association of the Tenth ward, through its president, Mrs. A. A. Shaw gave four beautiful comforters, made by its members, to the children and the Third ward gave a largo quantiy of candy. There has also been much praise expressed by local citizens of the workers who planned and carried out the muncipal Christmas celebration. In this list were Mayor A. R. Hoy-wood, Hoy-wood, City Commissioners Chris Fly-garo Fly-garo and Miles L. Jones: Clem Martin, Mar-tin, city street supervisors; Chief Graves and members of the- fire department de-partment and the Utah Power and Light company, for building and decorating dec-orating and lighting the Christmas tree, platforms, runway and arch; tho Ogden Publicity Bureau, Its secretary, James P. Casey, James AVotherspoon and the different local firms who donated do-nated candy, nuts and fruit for the children; T. Earl Pardoe and Mar-cellus Mar-cellus Smith, who handled tho tableaux tab-leaux and music; the Ogden municipal baud, which donated its services; Fred Shields, the "Santa Claus" and the ladles of the gentrol committee, Mrs. Maude Doe Porter, chairman; Mrs. G. H. Matson, Mrs. Edw. Bich-sel, Bich-sel, Mrs. Warren L. Wattis and Mrs. Chris Flygaro. GREEK LETTER MEN ENTERTAIN When the Pan-Hellenic .association of Utah hold their annual dinner-dance dinner-dance last evening in the Hotel Utah dining room and mezzanine floorv a number of Ogden members and guests were present. Patronesses of the affair af-fair given by tho Greek letter men of the state included the following ladies from Ogden Mesdames William C. Dalrymple, Lawrence T. Doe, W. G.
