Bartlett were hostesses to members mem-bers of the Chi Rue club Friday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Bartlett, 2844 Grant avenue. The honor guest was Mrs. Myrtle Thatcher Sooy, who leaves Ogden early next week to join her husband in Huntington, West Virginia. Vir-ginia. LINCOLN CIRCLE MEETING. Lincoln Circle No. 2, Ladles G. A. Steuben of Price, Utah, has departed for home, after passing several sev-eral days in Ogden on business. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Tlngley of Price, has also completed a visit in Ogden and departed for home. WAS OGDEN VISITOR. DEPARTS FOR COAST. Miss Loretta (Van Dyle) Beecher, who has been visiting in Ogden for several weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Van Dyle of 749 Twenty-soventh Twenty-soventh street, departed this afternoon after-noon on the Los Angeles Limited tor California, Miss Beecher Is one of the promising young motion picture actresses of the west, having already had more than a year's experience with the Powers.aVictor and other producing pro-ducing companies located at Universal City, California. Through her winning a popular actress contest, conducted by a Los Angeles mngazlne conducted conduct-ed by tho motion picture companies, she is to be featured In a five-reel film, soon after she returns to her work. Yesterday, Miss Beecher, at the invitation in-vitation of Supt. E S. Hinckley and Matron Zlna Y Card of the Utah State Industrial school, visited the girls department of that Institution and encouraged the 25 students there with an excellent talk. She also entertained en-tertained them with a number of songs, to her own accompaniment, making her visit an unusually appreciated appreci-ated treat, FOR MR. AND MRS. GEORGE KOHN Mi. and Mrs. Nathan J. Felbush entertained en-tertained at a farewell party Sunday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs George Kohn, who leave Ogden next Thursday to make their home in San FranciBco. ENTERTAIN FRIENDS. Miss Maude West and Miss Mabel Peterson were hostesses to a number of their friends at Miss West's home, Saturday evening. The evening was spent in music, games and dancing, after which, a delicious luncheon was served.
