Show oo SEEK REVISION OF HUSTON FARM LOANS. Boise, Ida., July 1G The state land board last night passed a resolution in the matter of the Huston farm loans, which authorizes the attorney general to either secure a revision of the $14,-000 $14,-000 In mortgages on the so-called Huston Hus-ton lands; to institute an action on the grounds that fraud had been committed com-mitted to secure money from the state, or an action to recover the amount involved on the official bond of State Auditor Fred L. Huston. This action was taken when Auditor Huston Hus-ton notified the board, on the final day of the time limit allotted to him by a previous resolution to relieve the state of the mortgages it held on the Huston lands, that he was unable to comply with the terms of the resolution resolu-tion and give the relief desired at this time. The board accepted the resignation of Heber Q. Hale by unanimous vote Immediately following Its presentation, and at -the same time passed resolutions resolu-tions extending to the retiring register appreciation of his services to the state. Robert Kirch val, former treasurer of Kootenai county, now a resident .of Cour d'Alene, was today unanimously elected by the state board as register of the land department and he will be Instructed to make arrangements to take up his work immediately. |
