J. Rothchlld. arrested In Port land and returned to this city, harg'-d with passing a forged check for $45j cashed at the Owyhee hotel and drawn on H. L Robb of Nampa. kept tho grand Jury busy during the morning session Rothehild is from Chicago After leaving that city for tho west he left forged cheek!? behind him, it is alleged, at Omaha, Cheyenne and Salt Lake. Leaving here, he wen' to Pondleton. where he is said to have cashed bad paper which led to his apprehension at Portland. He was returned to Boise and has been waiting In the county Jail pending iction of the grand jury-State jury-State house affairs will also b? probed again while the Jury is in session, ses-sion, matters in connection with treasury finances being scheduled for consideration, it is reported. |
