Show oo BEESWAX USE IS BEFORE THE JUDGE The preliminary' hearing of Fred Dart, of Spanish Pork, on a charge of grand larceny, was starled this morning morn-ing before Municipal Judge William H. Reeder. Jr, and is being continued this afternoon Tart Is charged with bnng a party to the theft of approxi malely one ton of beeswax, alued at ?700, from the Superior Hone company com-pany of Ogden, on the night of April 11, 1914. Tbe prosecution of the case this morning uas in the hand6 of former County Attorney David Jensen and i he defendant was represented by attorney Hansen of Spanish Fork and Attorney George Halverson of Ogden. Two of the witnesses examined this morning were Carl Redfield of the Superior Honey company and W Bes-singer Bes-singer of Bessinger and company. Salt Lake City According to their tes tlmony. Bessinger purrnased about 1300 pounds of beeswax from Dart and sold it to the Superior Honey company a few weeks after the robbery rob-bery occurred at the warehouse of the honey company This '.vas was identified iden-tified by Redfield as a part of that stolen from his firm on the night of April 11 1914 A cross examination of nearly an hour's duration failed to shake his testimony with regard to the identification of the wax. |
