Show FIGHTING IN THE MOSCOW STREETS Civilians Build Barricades Eight Higher Officials and 27 Policemen Wounded. i - Berlin Oct. 11, by Wireless to Say-vllle. Say-vllle. Under the heading "Fighting in Moscow's Streets." the following was given out today by the Overseas News Agency: "it is now learned that on September Septem-ber 27 the civilians in Moscow built barricades In the city. Eight higher officials and 27 policemen were wounded. Of the civilians three wcr killed and twelve killed. "Among the dead was a student whose body was left all night In the street. The students went on Strike in protest and there were great demonstrations at the funeral The students held back the police, The president of Moscow university signed sign-ed a proclamation concerning th death or Uic" student. He was asked for an explanation but his answer was suppressed by tho censor. "Other street fights are reported In St. Petersburg. Kharkov, Rostov and Odessa. In each Instance small riots ri-ots led to serious disorders. |
