Show W011 SHOOTS I Ml 10 ATTEMPTS TO ENTER HER HOME While attempting to force his way Into the Jhomo of Mrs. Annie M. Taylor Tay-lor on Paclflo avenue, near Twenty-eighth Twenty-eighth street, about midnight 'last night, Charles Eddy, a local resident well known In police circles, was twice shot by Mrs. Taylor, both bul-lots bul-lots entering tho left leg abovo the kneo. Following the shooting, Eddy, who is Bald to have been intoxicated, made his way to his own home about a block distant and nothing was learned of tho affair by the police until today, neither of the principals desiring to make It known. Persons who heard the shooting, however, informed the pollco department depart-ment this morning and an Investigation Investiga-tion was made by Detectives Charles Pincock and George Wardlaw. Eddy was found at his home, suffering severe se-vere pain from his two wounds, which were made with bullets from a .32 calibre revolver. . Aside from saying say-ing that he was intoxicated last night and did not know much about the manner in which he was wounded, he would make no statement. Mrs. Taylor, -when interviewed by the officers, explained that a man had requested admittance to her homo and, upon being refused, started to force his way in. Fearing lor her safety and that of her children, she shot him. No arrests were made. oo |
