Show PIONEER OF STATE CALLED BY DEATH William Godfrey, aged 74 years, a pioneer of this state, died of Bright s disease at the home of his daughter. Mrs. I Sarsar 330 Washington avenue, ave-nue, tins morning at 2:80 o'clock He was born ,n Rockland, New York, December De-cember 28, 1841 the son of Joseph mid Anna E. Godfrey. In 1852 he became a member of the Morniun church a.id immigrated to Utah, first residing In North Ogden and later moving to Park alley where he acted act-ed as bisuop's counselor for a number of years Mr Godfrey was married to Mms Lucy K. Williams in Salt Iake City lu 1867. His wife and the followiug children survive: Mrs. Bertha Sarsar. Ogden: Mrs Minnie Koylance, Pleasant View Joseph A. Godfrey, St. Anthony, Ida.; also three sisters, Mrs. Geralda Rock, Hlbbard. Ida.; Mrs Nellie W ebb, Preston. Ida., and Mrs. Mary K. Cuttle, Hascon Canada. Can-ada.
