Show RESENTS WHAT HE TERMS IN INJUSTICE George Mattingly of the Ogden j W holesale Drug company appeared at The Standard office today and stated that two articles published in a local morning paper had caused himself and wife considerable unwarranted ; annoyance One of the articles re-I re-I ferred to was published on the morn ! ing of August 19th. under the head-. , ing of "Women Use Dog Chains to j Lead Their Children" and the other I was an editorial published on August 1 20th. I Both articles refer to a woman be-' be-' ing seen on the streets of the city, I leading a sma.ll child with a chain I and Mr. Mattingly stated that he has reason to believe that the articles re-; re-; ferred to his wife and 17-months-old j child. He says the story is badly overdrawn. He says that his babe I was just learning to walk and that Mrs Mattingly uses a tiny chain to keep It within bounds while on the street. This is merely for the child's protection, he said, and the view taken of the Incident by the morning paper, he holds to be an Injustice to both himeelf and wife. oo |
