Show CHICAGOGRAIN Chicago, 111., Jan. 13. Generally favorable fa-vorable European crop advices and a heavy increase of the European visible vis-ible supply had a depressing effect today on wheat prices here. The opening was 1-Sc off to a shade up, with a moderate advance later, but then a decline all around. Conditions that promoted selling gave the bear side an advantage in corn. The market opened unchanged to l-8l-4c lower, rallied a little and again fell back, this time lower than before. Oats took the same course as other grain. Trade was small. First transactions in provisions ranged from 2 1-2 to 7 l-2c higher, and a further rise followed. Export sales at Kansas Citv and Omaha, as well as here, brought amout a subsequent wheat rally. The close was firm l-4c above last night Weakness became more pronounced in corn when reports came that dealers deal-ers in southwest were well stocked. The close "was firm "at i-4c net decline.
