Show SOCIETY GARMENT WORKERS BALL. The Garment Workers local union entertained a record breaking crowd at the Now Colonial hall last night. The Hffair was their second annual ball and the attendance of over 50') per.-ons attested to their popularity An especially line feature ot the oc caalon was the result of the forethought fore-thought of the committee in selecting select-ing the program of music and printing print-ing the names of the selections on the souvenir programs which were giv en the guests In addition to play Ing the 22nd programmed dance numbers num-bers the Crawford orchestra responded respond-ed generously to numerous encores The refreshments were up to the usual exi client standard which has been set by the Garment Workers to be served at their parties and consisted con-sisted of wild cherry and light claret plllll h The service was given by Albert Greenwell and Roland Tillotsou and was most satisfactory. The committees who arranged and carried out the affair so successfully were composed of the following mem bers of the union: Arrangement Margaret Gotch. chairman; Eva Rex, Maud West, Laurie Lau-rie Wilson and Norman Boyle EtOCOP-tlon EtOCOP-tlon and Floor Beulah Crandall, Ber tha Carr. Sadie Idsenga Iris Donald son and Emanuel Bradshaw Members Mem-bers of the arrangement committee also assisted the reception and floor committee |
