Show FORMER POSTMASTER OF TAYLORSVILLE IS CALLED Taylorsvllle. Dec. 31. John Webster, Web-ster, 73 years of age, died Tuesday at his home in this city following a brief illness. He was a pioneer resident resi-dent of this place, coming here in 1855. Prior to that time he spent twelve years in Wisconsin and one year in Salt Lake. He was a native of Scotland. Mr. Webster was the pioneer blacksmith black-smith of this district. He took an active ac-tive part in political and church work and for several years was postmaster here. He served many terms as superintendent su-perintendent of the local Sundav school. He is survived by a widow and ten children. The funeral services will be held at l o'clock Friday afternoon. Friends from Salt Lake attending will be met by vehicles at Seventeenth South at 11 o'clock Friday morning and taken to the Taylorsville ward meeting house, where services will be held. |
