Show HEAVY STORM IN THE CANYON AT NIGHT A Fred J. Kiesel is in the city today from his summer home in the canyon, receiving congratulations from his many friends over his narrow escape from injury when an automobile turned turtle with him and rolled down an embankment q few days ago. He says he is happy that he Is alive and he considers that hiB escape was nothing short of a miracle. ' When we rolled down that bank," said Mr Kiesel this morning, 'I thought It was all over with us, but we came out of the wreck with only slight Injuries I was bruised about the body and my daughter was hurt considerably about the shoulders. Mr McCormick also received quite severe bruises, but we are fpellng better now and apprehend no evil after-effects" Mr. Kiesel sas that the heaviest rainstorm of the season visited the canyon last evening, the storm fairly filling the gorge with sheets of rain He was surprised to find that the rain did not extend to the city. |
