Batch, 55, well known in Bingham mining circles, was- kilcd during the week, when he fell more than 200 feet in the shaft of the Utah ni : .When picked up by a rescue crew, Batch was still breathing and was rushed to the Bingham hospital, where he died early Saturday morning. morn-ing. Fellow workmen were unable to tell how Batch came to fall. All that Is known is that he. was found at the bottom of the shaft. It is believed, however, that he came too near the edge of the shaft and lost his balance. Surviving are his widqw and five children. The family came here from Oakley, Idaho, several years ago. |
