Show oo 1 OEATH CONQUEROR AFTER LONG BATTLE Park City, Aug 18. Word was re- j ceived here last evening of the death of William Knealc of this city, who died In San Francisco. Cal , of a prolonged pro-longed attack of rheumatism and lead, poisoning Mr Knealc had been ill for six years past and at various times dur-1 ing his long sleg death has seemed near at hand, but the sick man, full of courage and fighting spirit, would rally and declare that he would be' up and around again, and only a shcrt time ago he had even contemplated I crolng back to work. ! The beginning of Mr Kneale's sick- 1 ness dates back to May 1907, when I stricken with pneumonia. Typhoid fever followed this and after suffering several weeks with this malady a marked Improvement was noticed and his complete recovery expected, ex-pected, but rheumatism set ;n and the victim In his weakened condition was not able to battle successfully with this disease He grew worse until the lead poisoning developed, and for several months past it has been only a matter of how much longer he could suffer. Seven weeks ago today Mr Kneale was taken to California by his wife, where it was hoped that a specialist could help him. and for a time recovery re-covery seemed probable, but last week he took cold and death came yesterday yester-day afternoon ilium Kneale was one of the best known men in this city and the news of his death came as a shock to his many friends here, who have, been hoping that the change in cl i - 1 mate and treatment would restore him to health Mr Knealc was born In Ramsey. Isle of Man. He was 47 years of I age, and had lived In this city for1 twenty-two years. He was a member of the local order of I. O. O F. and this organisation will have charge of the funeral after the body arrives W ednesday Mr. Kneale Is survived by his wife l and one daugnw-r Mrs Lillian Addev of this city |
