Show Society FAREWELL PARTY. A gay party of young people gave Dr J P Dlnneen a Jolly send off before be-fore he left on his vacation and what they may have planned for him on his return has not been divulged. RETURNS FROM CALIFORNIA Miss Bertha Stone has returned to Ogden after about two years absence in California, whore she spent the regular school months teaching In the southern part of the state and the present summer months In taking a special course at the Unlversltj of California at Berkeley. Miss Stone Is receiving pleasant greeting from a host of warm friends In Ogden and many hope that she mav be Induced to remain here for an Indefinite In-definite period MID-SUMMER BALL The executive board of the local Daughters of the Pioneers met es terda afternoon at the home of President Pres-ident Josephine West. The main object of the meeting was to arrange for their first annual mid summer ball and after some discussion discus-sion It was decided to hold the party In the Glenwood pavilllon on the evening eve-ning of August 26th In order to make the affair a rousing rous-ing social and financial success, the entire executive board will act as en tertalnment committees and the captains cap-tains of the different companies will act as an Invitation committee The following ladies will comprise the entertainment committees Program.
