'j'H ; . -r. 1 The decorations at the First Congregational Con-gregational church furnished a beautiful beau-tiful and reverent setting for the services ser-vices on Easter Sunday Back of the pulpit, in striking contrast con-trast to the dark green walls, was a large while cross trimmed in Easter lilies and ferns. This was a setting to the words In white letters. Christ the Resurrection and the Life " Across the front of the platform, leading either way from the pulpit, were white columns, surmounted by jardiniCrs filled with roses, lilies and ferns, the columns being joined by ropes of smllax. Cm the walls, to right and to left of the pulpit recess, was hung a white cross decorated with marguerites and ferns and festooned with Bnrllax, Roses, lilies and carnations tastefully taste-fully arranged on the platform added to tho scheme, which was dealgned rT-l inill. and arranged by Mrs. A. C Emerson Emer-son and her class of young ladles The progrum was us announced except ex-cept that the music of the morning service was repeated at the evening service, by request. The church is happy in being able to furnish its programs from among Its own members and congregations, which makes such services peculiarly intimate and enjoyable as among a church fumlly. oo |
