K Giles received B letter this morn ing from Lee Jones, 17 years old, who forged six checks here Saturday and fled with cash to the amount of $75 I Jones explains that his parents live In Omaha and he was homesick to sec them since he heard of the tornado In that place. It was settled today to-day that ProVO would be the terminus of the Utah Railway company, instead of Spanish Fork, as was announced some months af-o H S Kerr, representing repre-senting President W G. Sharp and Chief Kngineer William Aahton an nounoeri here today at a meeting of the Commercial club that Provo would be the terminus for the road He al so told the Commercial club that the company would purchase the terminal grounds' and right-of-way without as alatance The club had raised throuj i its committee about $15,000 toar.i purchaslnp this right-of-way A committee from the Commercial club met Mr. Kerr tonight at the Roberts Rob-erts hotel and presented him with a gold watch, handsomely engraved, in appreciation of what he had done for Proo and the Commercial club Thie terminus will mean a grpat deal to the Garden city in the way o: securing a big payroll.
