Show DEATH OF AGED ! HANDCART PIONEER Mrs. .)an Webb, widow of Charles Webb, passed away at 7 o'clock this morning at her homo on West court. She was In her 78th year, hating been born in Birmingham, Kngland. pill 8. 1835. She was one of the pioneers, coming com-ing to America in lSfiu and crossing the plains with hr husband and two small children in a handcart company com-pany that sam- 1 ar The family lived In Salt Lake n for five yeara and then moved to Sla-terville. Sla-terville. residing there until 21 ears ago, when, following the death of her husband Mrs. Webb came to Ogdn. where she had since resided About five years ago she suffered a paralytic stroke, since which tim she has heen noticeably failing, and she had boon cared for by her daughter daugh-ter Elizabeth She was the mother of 13 children, chil-dren, of whom the following nine survive sur-vive her. Mrs. A I. stone. Charles M Webb, Mrs. A. .1 Uudman, of Bripham. Elizabeth, Eliz-abeth, Albert and Edgar Webb, Mrs. C harles A. Bass and Mrs. Charles Dal-limore. Dal-limore. and one slater Mra, Ben Chad-wick, Chad-wick, Slater ville. The funeral services will be held in the First Congregational church. ' Adams avenue and Twenty-fifth street, on Monday, January 6, at 2 p. m. The Interment will b- in the I City Cemetery |
