Show oo THREE REVENUE TAX BILL IS INTRODUCED Throe measures designed to meet some of the shortcomings of the present pres-ent revenue laws, were Introduced in the house yesterday by the joint com-1 com-1 mittee on revenue. One of the bills provides that the salaries of the members of the board of equalization shall be lncrcHsol to $1800 The present salary is (1500 8 year The bill also provides that the secretary shall not be one of tho members of the board, a change from the present rule. He Is to receive a salary of 11600 a year, to which is added $300 a I year for services as collector of taxes tax-es from car companies The new billi also provides that not more than j one member of the board shall be from one county. The second of the bills enlarges the classification of property which may be assessed. At Dreamt there arc! only 14 classes of property, thus necessitating ne-cessitating changes by the state equalization equa-lization board to be in blanket form The new classification follows-1 follows-1 The total value of the several classes of property, shown separately, separate-ly, as classified by said assessment roll 2.
