Young, HI high councillors, bishops, etc. I The meeting was opened at ' a p. m. by the congregation sing ing, "Come, Come, Ye Saints," t etc. t Opening prayer was offered by Elder Amos Sargent. 'Lo, the Mighty God Appearing," Ap-pearing," was next sung by the choir. Uishop Angus J, Cannon of Parley's Park was the first speaker. He made a brief report re-port of the condition of the ward over which he presides. Celestia Y. Pack, President of the Stake Relief society, reported . seventeen societies actively engaged and many bushels of grain stored. Good work being done but in some localities a little better might be done. Hishop I'rcd Kasbaud, of Park City, reported the condition of his ward. Said all organizations were doing good work except some of the Religion classes. They had a splendid time on . Widow's Day, about ninety , widows and children participate fuL. ing. Elder Todd was the next speaker, He spoke of a spirit existing among the young people peo-ple not being in touch with the spirit of the gospel. Adjourned till 10 o'clock Sunday morning. SUNDAY MOKNING. Conference was further continued con-tinued by the choir singing, "Come Let Us Anew, Our Journry Pursue." Invocation was offered by Patriarch John K. Lemon. The choir sang, "Earth is the Place Where Christ Will Dwell." Elder Wm. Archibald of the high council, said he desired the aid of the holy spirit while addressing the conference. Unlike, Un-like, he said, those of the world, we are br.ad in our ideas and labors, and we should extend ourliberalty to the whole world. Closed by bearing his testimony to the truthfulness of the gospel. Aunt Ruth Pack was called to the stand and said she rejoiced re-joiced to meet with the saints' tit quarterly conference. She asked the blessings on all tvho are seeking the work and love o.' God. She also gnvc a short review of the saints who left Nnuvoo. Pres. G. W Young said he was pleased to meet with the saints at this time, and see so many in attendance. He referred re-ferred to the last quarterly conference con-ference held here, and rejoiced to sec a much better attendance.
