| Show V TO SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN FIRST suffocated two a woman lost their lives in a san francisco fire san francisco tan 6 tareo aco plo lost their lives by tho destroyed tho outbuilding at tho french hospital early this morning used as a laundry and electrical power plant tho third body was discovered actor tho flames had been ox it Is believed to be that of the wife of michael franco ano with jean rons two laundry em aloyes were found dead by the firemen on their first search of the burned building the two men had been sleeping in opposite rooms on tho second floor of the building when the fire broke out and had apparently been smothered by the smoke batore ahe flames reached them the laundry building in which tho firo started shortly after 12 this morning was a two story brick structure the fire is believed to have started through a defective flue though it is possible that a faulty insulation su on one of the wires bearing a heavy current may have been the cause the building was gutted completely at a loss of more than to the building alone in addition lo 10 the damage done to the delicate electrical apparatus which was stored there the main building which held many patients was in serious danger for a time but the quick response of the fire department averted what might have been a serious catastrophe r there was quite a panic among the patients for a time but those in immediate danger were removed aa fast as possible by the nurses I 1 |
