R D. D Reese aged 28 28 of the Grant hotel and Allen War War- Warren Warren ren aged 18 18 of North Ogden pleaded guilty to speeding The defendants of a canning company were arrested about midnight Friday on the Riverdale road by H H. R. R Davis Da special county traffic officer The two were driving drivIng ing trucks and traveling tra at 40 miles an hour the officer testified In explanation the defendants said they had been on a long trip for their company and were hurrying home The court called attention to the many fatal accidents on the state highways largely due to speeding automobiles and said that steps must be taken token to create a respect for the law and to safeguard the public The defendants were given ghen time until Monday to pay the fines The sentences carry the alternate of 25 days in jail
