littletown I town In Illinois we wo studied about I Utah a far western state slate and of or I Ogden one of Its Important cities titles At that time Ume Utah was no more II Interesting to me than any Just what I J wanted I could not afford to miss it and I so I enrolled i STRUGGLE BEGINS My Iy struggle was on and It was wasa a hart hard one that first year ear When- When Whenever ever er I thought I 1 was going to be called on for Cor a recitation my heart pounded and my mind be become be- be become become come a blank I am am sure my m teachers sensed the difficulties I 1 Iwas Iwas was having for each In his own owna way way- a gave save me mo Just the tho help I most needed They did not urge me too quickly but gradually and oh so tactfully they made me feel teel at case ease They shielded me front from making mistakes that might have attracted unfavorable attention and above all they supported me I felt that every everyone everyone one ono of them themas was as anxious for my success
