Show DEATH OF GENERAL FITZHUGH LEE Washington Ilrlgadler General Fltihugh l-oc, U. S. A., retired, died at Providence hospital here Friday sight, aged C8 years, from an attack of apoplexy which ho suffered catly in the morning on a train while en routo from Iloston to Washington After Oonersl Ixo had been removed to tho hospital It was evident to tho attending attend-ing physicians that bit cata wis a very serious one, but they believed that bit strong vitality and will power would assist materially In a partial recovery, re-covery, at least, from tho attack, His condition remained fair, considering the severity of tho nttnek, during the day, but shortly after 9 o'clock he bo gan to grow weaker, his breathing became be-came mora rapid ami his pulto lower, terminating In lens than two hours In death. The end was peaceful and without pain, the general remaining conscious until within five minutes of tho end.
