Monday night Asa Welsh and er young man were occupying a bed at Mr. Lowes and during the forepart of the evening it is presumed that they were smoking and the bed clothes caught ou fire. Before it could be stopped the bed and allt,he coverings were burned and for a time the bouse was threatened. The fire was fiuall y subdued and the burning fragments removed from the dwelling.
