The colors are made fast by the use of n fixative, and though they will not stand washing they will not spoil from atmospheric causes. To paint: Use veloullne as a fixative; moist eater-color., with Chinese white ot body colors, red same brmnes, and work upon tare of good designs Stretob the lace and pin It down to a drawing board, so thst every part of It Is quite secure. Select the colors to ute, and where they are applied, and over every place that It lo b painted lay a wain of Chlnete while and veloullne, pats that over parts already sited with the veloullne, and then paint the lace with bright colors In a ret pattern. Metallic colors, such ss gold, silver and bronis, ran be applied In the sams way to ths lace. See that the colors are thoroughly thorough-ly abtorbed Into ths lace, and remember remem-ber tha more broken and diversified the coloring thn better the effect. |
