February 27 is the night chosen for the monster BLANKET HOP, which will be given at the Canyon Hall with Mickey's Melodians in attendance to furnish the very latest in dance music. Sid Spencer, under whose auspices the dance will be given, is presenting ten blankets to as many members of the first string Bingham High School basketball team, winners of the Jordan Jor-dan division championship. The dance will be in the form of a testimonial to the members of the blue' and white, who have fought so valiantly during the season just closing, clos-ing, who have given to the people of Bingham Canyon the best balanced quintet that has ever upheld the honor hon-or of this camp at a basketball tour-anient. tour-anient. Presentation of the blankets will be made during the evening, and the fact ' that many tickets nave already been sold shows that one of the largest larg-est crowds that ever attended a dance in the camp will be in attendance. Early in the season, foreseeing the possibilities of a championship team, Sid Spencer,' member of the Apex team,, promised to give the winners of the Jordan district the blankets, and the dance is given to allow every one in the camp to be present when the blankets are presented. Short talks will be given by different differ-ent members of the team ,and a general gen-eral good time and fan reunion will be in session when the first blanket dance ever held in Bingham Canyon will start at Bingham Canyon hall, ' Friday evening, February 27, the hop starting immediately after the Grants-ville-Jordan tilt, which wmcts up trie Jordan division. Manager Joe Delaney of the Canyon Can-yon Hall is donating the popular dance emporium for the occasion. |
