Show Chips and Shavings from Bingham The Parent-Teachers' Association' will meet in the Bingham High school auditorium on Wednesday next, December De-cember 16. A fine program .has been arranged and it is hoped there will be a number of parents in attendance. The farce given by members of the L. D. S. Church and named "A Pair of Sixes," is said to have been the best amateur theatrical ever played by these popular players. Kenneth Brady once more demonstrated to the full his ability, in fact to pick out one' person would be doing the rest of the players an injustice as they were all capable and far above the average amateur players. Before tlft performance, perfor-mance, M. L. James of the up-to-date store f urnished a radio concert. On Thursday evening of last week at the regular meeting of the Kiwan-is Kiwan-is Club, the following officers ' were elected: President J udd Shillin, Vice-president Vice-president Fred Turner, Trustee J. B. Myers, with Dr. J. B. Flynn, Harry Steele, Tom McMullen, K. Bryant, I). C. Watkins, Earl Nepple and John Kennedy as directors. The club has taken up some very importaut matters mat-ters the past year and will continue their good work. Work has begun this week on the ra.ruHleling of the former Marriott blacksmith shop, which will be trans- formed into a photo studio. Health Officer Standish has been suffering from a severe cold this week. , Bill bobbins, watermaster of Bingham Bing-ham advises that all parties who have leaking waterrtaps in their homes will have their water disconnected at the end of the year if efforts are not made to fix the leaks. Bill Collins was a business visitoi in Salt Lake Tuesday. , The many friends of Attorney C. D. McNeely " will learn with regret he is a patient at St. Marks hospital at Salt Lake City. , Giovanno Mercovichio, better known locally as John Mark, died at his home on Thursday morning of miner's consumption. Deceased was a native' of Italy and was well known in Bingham, Bing-ham, having resided here for the pml fifteen years. He was a fon.ner employee em-ployee of the Utah Copper Co., and had been a resident of the United States for eighteen years. He has been suffering from the dread disease, dis-ease, miners consumption for some time and had been a patient at the County hospital. He is survived by his window and seven children. He was 41 years of age. Funeral services servic-es will be held from the Holy Rosary Church in Bingham at 10 o'olock, Monday moraing. The U. of U. All-star Basket ball team will play the Utah Copper team Saturday night at the R. C. Gemmell Memorial Club. Non members are admitted ad-mitted on payment of 25 cents. On Tuesday there will be a card party given 'at the club with the popular Fat Sanders Country Store. On Friday Fri-day the 18th, there will be a dance given at the club by the Aeriel Or- Joe Delaney announce dances in the Canyon Hall as follows: Tuesday 15th and Monday the 21st, with music mus-ic by the Paramount Orchestra. . The Rev. Father Joseph P. Donnel-lan Donnel-lan announces he will talk on "Confidence "Con-fidence In God," at the Holy Rosary Church at 7:30 Sunday evening. Richard, Whittington, about 45 years of age and an employee of the Utah-Apex Mining Co., was' found dead in his room at the Bostotf Con Hotel NO. 1,' on Wednesday evening, ; presumably from alcoholism, He has been in the Bingham district since July. He is said to have a brother in this state , but up-to-date he cannot be located. |
