Show 6 0 L D in L IV IV el 01 a M ENDS MINE PINE OWNERS OWNERS AND MINERS SIGN THE AGREEMENT struggle gole which has lasted for forever over seven weeks has been 1 t settled 7 goldfield nov nev april 21 an ki agree niona was signed today by th tha executive committee of the mine owners and tho the officers of or miners alincic anion no 0 20 goldfield district which terminates the great lockout I and labor struggle of the past seven weeks the terms of the agreement are as follows first the wage scale in effect in the district march 1 19 shall remain in force and eight hours shall constitute a days work second the miners union shall have jurisdiction over ail all regularly employed Y men in and around the mines mills and smelters shelters sm elters third no n o strike or boycott shall be hIlY declared by the miners union anle unless s by a two thirds vote of the organization and no lockout lookout shall be enforced by the mine owners and operators anle unless by a like vote fourth no town labor controversy shall interfere with the operation of the mines or the employment of the miners fifth these terms shall remain in force tor for a period of two years from date late fifteen hundred miners participated in in the meeting which ratified tho the agreement this afternoon the mines will reopen at 3 p rn M monday between 1000 and 2000 men have been affected by the lockout |
