Show Executive Council Plans Poll on Student Attitude Utes to List iM Awareness Of Activities Definite plans for the beginning of a campus-wide research project concerning student attitudes toward activities were disclosed at a meeting of the Executive Council THE PROJECT will begin this week and is expected to be completed by the end of winter when the Council hopes to have the results and evaluated The project will consist of contacting approximately students chosen at The students will be contacted by telephone and interviewed in The interviewing will be done by means of IBM cards on which 40 University activities will Students will be asked to indicate their awareness of and interest and participation in each of these The students will also be asked how well each one fits in with their idea of what should be included in college programming and The Apportionment Board has appropriated for use in this The Council also drew up a recommendation concerning what organizations should be recognized as official University groups for presentation to the Committee on Student THE recommendation stated that only groups composed of University faculty or alumni should be considered official organizations of the University and accorded the privileges of such president John Bennion groups not affiliated with University could take over privileges and facilities for which students should be given |
