SALT LIE OF IDE from our special correspondent i GOOD ROADS association the good roads association tot utah waa held at assembly hall ahli morning and the meeting was called to order by chairman james ander son there a ere only twenty three delegates present and chairman anderson in the opening remarks accounted for the light attendance by reason of so many other attractions tr in the city at the present time governor Oo vernor cutler read a welcome address in which he commended tho delegates upon the good work that was being done by tho organization he said that the present condition of the roads and bridges throughout the state could be greatly improved upon and he believed that it was through the good roads organization that this work could bo best accomplished prof jensen of cache county read an able paper on the necessity of the scientific building of roads and the effect of sprinkling on roads was the subject of a paper by county commissioner wilson 0 salt lake county this paper was warmly applauded by the delegates who afterward congratulated commissioner wilson upon the ability with which he handled the subject A paper on scientific methods of building dirt roads by county commissioner larson of county was read by chairman anderson in the absence of commissioner larson who was unable r attend ahe convey alon
