Show A ATTEMPT STRANGER RESOLVES TO END HIS OWN LIFE drinks corrosive Corros sublimate n photograph gallery and cannot re cover from fridays standard because of family trouble charles hebendahl Heben bahl of boston mass made n desperate attempt to end his life this morning in H H thomas photograph gallery mr thomas had hired the man to assist him for a few days and during mr thomas absence from the mr Haben bahl drank an ounce of saturated corrosive sublimate dr borbee was called and ordered the man taken at once to the ogden general hospital where an endeavor was made to save his life the amount of poison which he took was immense and dr forbes states that there Is but little it any hope of saving the mans life at one this noon he was sinking fast with but slight hope that he woula rally at the time the man took the acid he was alone in the operating room mr thomas other assistant being engaged elsewhere hearing the man cry out he went to the room and found him lying upon the floor evidently in great distress not realizing the cause he at once telephoned to mr thomas who quickly responded upon mr thomas arrival he took in the situation at a glance and at once called doctor forbes when the doctor arrived mr hebendahl Heben bahl was still conscious although in great agony and begged the doctor piteously co save his life for a time dr forbes believed the man had a chance but later when he realized the great amount of acid that the men had taken he as obliged to abandon all hope mr thomas stated that mr heben bahl was a man of education and refinement and was an expert photographer ho told mr thomas but little aside from the fact that he had a wife and three small children in boston when he went to work for mr thomas mr Haben bahl told him that he had had family troubles and for that reason had left home and that his cifes name is mrs mildred haben bahl and her residence 81 beech street boston mass an effort is being made to reach mrs Haben bahl and notify herot her bus bands condition |
