Show l BANQUET AND I . REUNION IN i . CANYON t ' ' The annual banquet and reunion of '$ ' the Weber Academy Alumni assocla- tlon was held last evening at the Her- H ' mltage In Ogden canyon. About fifty '& ,- members of the association and their friends participated in the evening's S enjoyment. Upon tho arrival of the S party at 7 o'clock they were ushered Y into the dining hall and treated to a most delicious chicken and trout dln- fi ner An orchestra, under Prof Nich es ols' direction, furnished several most enchanting selections during the serv- j ing of tho banquet. Principal Henderson of the Weber j" academy acted as toastmaster. Among i& those -who responded to toasts were Raymond Becraft. Peter Kaslus, Thos. J E. MoKay, Dr. Wiley Cragun, Presi- 7 ; dent Charles F. Mlddleton and Hon. David Eccles, the last two mentioned being members of tho school board. ; Aftor tho banquet the annual elec tion of officers was hold, at which William McKay, president; Lula Ec-cles Ec-cles and Laurence Richards, vice-presidents; vice-presidents; LeonI Engstrom, secretary, secre-tary, and Stewart Eccles, treasurer, I -were Te-elected. The officers for tho 1 coming year are: J John 'McGregor, president; Mabel j Rolapp and Peter KaBius, vice-presl- ' dents, and Lyman Gowans, secretary' - and treasurer. The dancing hall was then cleared ; of chairs and tables and all present thoroughly enjoyed tho remaining two hours dancing. ' ' -A- most enjoyable feature of the j ; v evening was the recitation by Miss 1 Edna Hull of Salt Lake City. The crowd returned to tho city on j a special car at 11:30. |
