Show THEY ABE ON' ALL SIDES. The members of the federal bunch are a puzzle. They have three or four papers in Utah, each with a variable policy. Oue is virulent in its espousal of the Taft cause; another pretends to favor Roosevelt, and a third is so nearly astride the fence as to keep the public guessing as to where it finally will laud. Whichever vrny the national fight turus, some of the federal bunch will be there with a glad hand to welcome the successful candidate and to offer assurance of continued support. This dividing of the federal gang into several camps, with each camp boosting for a different candidate is a wonderfully olever move, even though men of fixed principles look upon the scheming as discreditable. |
