Show MAKES ANSWER TO STANDPATTER An answer to the Standpatter who talks about endangering prosperity by displacing the present administration administra-tion Is contained in a statement recently re-cently made by Alva B. Johnson, president of the Baldwin Locomotive Works In Philadelphia Mr. Johnson was asked a number of questions by Congressman J. Hampton Moore, who is running the Taft campaign in Pennsylvania. The head of the big locomotive concern said to Mr. Moore that his firm was now employing em-ploying more than 1S,000 men and that the plant was running full time. "Did you ever employ more?" asked tho Tatt leader. "Yes," was the answer, "In 1907. when we were operating to our maximum maxi-mum capacity, we employed 19,800 r.nd in addition we were engaged at that time in extenaire building operations." opera-tions."
