Shuttleworth, a real estate man of this city, came in last night from Swan Valley and brought the particulars partic-ulars of the drowning of Leroy Still-son. Still-son. Mr. Shuttloworth and Frank Ertel. an old friend of Mr. Stillson, were on their waj' to tho Diamond X ranch. It was cry dark and a violent vio-lent thunderstorm was raging. Mr Ertcl had been ahead finding tho road When they got to the bridge over Pine creek, a tributary of the south fork of Snake river, Mr Still-son Still-son got out and Jbcated the bridge and said, "Come on. boyB." A brilliant bril-liant flash of lightning seemed to blind him, and in a moment they heard him fall Into the raging torrent A reward of 3200 was offered for the recoery of the body and a largo number num-ber of citizens arc searching the creek with poles. Mr. Stillson had located and leased 2.5G0 acres of land a few miles west of Idaho Falls, which ho was preparing pre-paring for sowing wheat His son had arrived the 'day before, but did not accompany him on this trip. His brother arrived from Colfax, Wash., this morning. |
