Forrlstall, east of the Utah National bank building, last ovoning, and unanimously votod to call a mass convention of tho Pro-gressho Pro-gressho party of Weber county for next Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, In tho court house up stairs, to elect forty dolegatcs and forty alternates al-ternates to attend the state conven tion of the party to be hold In Ogden. Septombor 13. which convention will be addressed by Colonel Roosevelt, at 3:45 o'clock In tho, afternoon. The Progressive party will havo no county convention to nominate county officers. Tho candidates on the Progressive ticket for countj officers will bo nominated at primaries pri-maries instead ot by tho delegate system. Tho primary election will bo open from 2 p. m., until 8 p. m., and the people will vote for their choice direct, di-rect, Instead of electing delegates to choose their candidates. Tho mass convention on next Wednesday Wed-nesday is necessary to elect delegates to the stato convention, and, after this stato convention meets, the party par-ty will bo completely organized, and In the future Progressive state candidates can-didates will be voted for direct by the people Instead of U3' delegates.
