F. G Brainerd made a speech in which he outlined a plan followed with marked success in other cities and urged piompt action The purpose of organized charities ,is to combine all charitable organizations organiza-tions under one head and centralize the work A central office Is provided pro-vided through which all organizations organiza-tions interested in charities, such as churohcR-- lodges, or business men, will do their cbant work A com- ' petent man Is in charge of the central . office and is paid a salary By establishing a central office, all j promiscuous charity would be done J " away with . All monev expended ' would go in the right direction and would mean a early sating to many men and Institutions which are often imposed upon. Parties seeking help from lodges, churches or other organizations or-ganizations are sent to the central office where their cases are investigated investi-gated and the impostors are sent away while the worthy receive aid. j Each pastor invited five laymen from his congregation to attend the banquet last night The pastors present pres-ent were F.
