Notice is hereby given that a special spe-cial meeting of the stockholders of Tho Davis and Weber ountles Canal Company will be held at the Court Room of Judge Howell's Division of the District Court in the Court House in Ogden lty, Weber ounty, Utah, on Saturday, the Gth day of July. 1912, at ten o'clock A. M., with tho object and for the purpose of considering and acting act-ing upon: (FIRST) A proposed amendment to nrticlo fifth of the articles of Incorporation In-corporation of 6aid company so that said article will rad substantially as follows, to-wit: ji "ARTICLE FIFTH: Tb business of this corporation shall be to appropriate appro-priate or acquire, by purchase or otherwise, oth-erwise, own, hold, use, buy, sell, lease and disposo of water and water rights for irrigation, power, manufacturing, mining and domestic purposes and uses and for any and all other purposes pur-poses and uses for which water may bo appropriated and used, whether similar to tho purposes and uses herein here-in enumerated or not, to construct, acquire, by purchase or otherwise, and to own, hold, control, maintain and operato canals, water dttcheti, fluiea, pipe lines, reservoirs, dame, and nil other means or appliances which, in the opinion of tho board of directors, may be necessary, convenient or appropriate ap-propriate for tho diversion, ntorage, conveyance and use of water and tho use and enjoyment of its water rights and the prosecution of the business of the corporation; also to construct or acquire, by purchase, lease or otherwise, oth-erwise, -j.r1 to own, hold, control, lease, maintain and operato a powor plant or power plants for the generation of electricity und electrical energy for use by it for manufacturing, milling, power, lighting or other punoses and for sale, or exchango, together with bucIi transmission line or lines and all such other structures, means and appliances as the board of directors may, from time to tlmo, deem necessary, neces-sary, proper or convenient for the prpose of carrying on ihe business herein provided for or for the promotion promo-tion of tho business interests of tho corporation; also to buy, sell and exchange ex-change electrical power or energy for any and all purposes whatever.
