Show ACTIVITY IN BUILDING LINE Practically all the stone masonry of tho east wall of the Eccles ruins has been removed and the hugo derrick is now removing brick and othor debris de-bris from the basement In tho eastern east-ern swing of tho great boom. This work accomplished, the derrfck will be shifted to the west sido of tho structure, 'Aherc tho towering wall on the north sldo of tho building will be taken down. It is expected that the walls will bo razed to the ground in tho early part of May, when cx-rcavation cx-rcavation work for the new structuie will begin. Carl C. Rasmussen Is constructing six houses on Lincoln avenue and Thirtieth street, the cost to approximate approxi-mate $6,500. On Royal avonue, between Twentieth Twen-tieth and Twenty-first streets, G. M. Them is building a residence that will coRt in the neighborhood of $1,000. The Crane company has erected a $2,500 warehouse and store building on Wall avenue and Twentieth street that cost about $3,000. Tho company is dealing In plumbers' supplies. James Taylor, on Chester avenue, oast of Washington, is building a $1,000 residence. Between Monroe and Quincy avenues ave-nues on Twenty-first street, John M. Witton is erecting a residence that will cost something over $1,000. On Capital avenue, between Van Buren and Harrison, E. C. Christiansen Christian-sen is building a $2,500 residence. oo |
