Members of the Ogden Bar association associa-tion met In the district court room Saturday morning to pass on tho icsolutlons ot respect to tne lato Judge A. B. Patton, written by tho commit-teo commit-teo that was previous appointed to prepare them. Judges James A. Howell and Nathan J. Harris presided at the meeting and Judge H. H. Henderson Hen-derson read tho resolutions and asked their adoption, as follows "We, your committee heretofore appointed by this honorable court to draft resolutions of respect upon thi death of the Honorable A. B Patton, bpg leave to report as follows: "Augustus Bosworth Patton departed depart-ed this life on the 2nd day of November, Novem-ber, 1911. He was born in FaVotto county, state of Pennsylvania, on tho 13th day of January, 1S43 In his early infancy his parents moved to ML Pleasant, state of Iowa After ho had reached manhood he made his home for a number of years in the pity of Pueblo, state of Colorado, whete for a number of years he held tho important position of probate judgo. In tho spring of 1S91 ho moved with his family to Ogden. where he resided until his death While he resided re-sided In Ogden he never actlvoly engaged en-gaged In the practice of law, yet he enjoyed the confidence of the people and "his brothren at the bar Whon the Juvenile court was established In the spring of 1905 he was appointed i"dge of that court inOgdon and flllc 1 the position two yoars, doing good work as pioneer in that lino With tho exception of a year before his death for about five years he held the important appointment of lofereo In bankruptcy for the northern district or Utah, and It wan while he was occupying oc-cupying this position a? Judge of bankruptcy that tho members of this bar became better acquainted with his ster'lng honestv. Justness and fair dealing.
