Show CELEBRATED BIRTHDAY. Among the delightful social events of the week was the party given Tuesday Tues-day evening at the family residence. 174 Twenty-fourth street, In honor of Thomas W. Jones, who on that day celebrated his 77th birthday. Tho home was tastefully decorated with cut flowers Among the numerous presents received by Mr. Jones was a beautiful bouquet of seventy-soven white astors, presented by Judge J. A. Howell In behalf of the Elks lodpe. A bounteous repast was served by Misses Myrtle and Beatrice Jones. The evening was enjoyably spent in social chat and music. Mr. Jones, In his usual jolly, cheery manner recount re-count many reminiscences rf the earlv pioneer days of Utah, In which ho participated. par-ticipated. The guests departed near midnight, expressing to Mr. Jones their heartiest best wishes for continued con-tinued life and happiness for ro.lny years to come.
