Forty-, five candidates can-didates wore Initiated into the Knights of Colurnbus. yesterday afternoon after-noon Three degrees of-.knighthood were conferred on tho candidates during dur-ing tho afternoon and In addition tho candidates and members of tho order wero guests at an elaborate banquet spread In tho SL Mary's cathedral hall. , - Tho degrees wero conferred in the Moose hall on West Templo street. At tho conclusion of the Initiatory work tho candidates and members, preceded by Hold's band, marched from the Moose hall to tho cathedral hall. There were more than 300 In the line of march. The first degree was conferred by Grund Knight W. H. Ixiary of Salt Lake council, assisted by tho other of fleers of the local council. The second sec-ond degree was conferred by District TJeputy Supreme Knight it. C. Trea-nor, Trea-nor, Grand Knight Rochet of Ogdori council and other officers of the Og . den council.
