Show TARIFF REVISION 10 BE CONSIDERED WASHINGTON, April 4. Tariff re-vlslou re-vlslou to bo recommended by the ways and means committee will be the subject ot conference tomorrow morning morn-ing among Democratic members of , the committee. Although revision and reciprocity have been considered, no definite procedure has yet been determined de-termined upon. There Is a division of opinion In the committee whether (Canadian reciprocity reciproc-ity should be presented as a separate bill or should have 'attached to it revised re-vised schedules embracing parts of the existing tariff law. A decision may be reached tomorrow and tho committee commit-tee will be ready, If deslrcdto report by Thursday, i i It Is understood the Democratic members of the committee have a reciprocity rec-iprocity measure in slightly different terms than tho McCall administration bill, and that It may be presented by Chairman Underwood. Bills on many subjects, both public and private, were Introduced today. Representative Hull, of Tennessee, is the author of a bill for an Income tax on all salaries or Incomes of 5,-000 5,-000 or more derived from any source whatover, unless otherwlso taxed, to be assessed at 1 per cent a year. |
