A Howell's court this morning, Mrs. Minnie Baker Fel testified testi-fied that she inarued Fred Fel in Kansas Kan-sas City In tho year 18iU and that there are two mluoi children in the family at this time, She said that the family relatiousnlp was all that It should be until a little more than a year aqo when another woman cropt Into tho heart of her husband and won his alfectlons. Since- then, she said, the tranquility of the homo has boon ruthlessly disturbed. Mr3. Fel stated that, auout three vears ago. Mr. Fol came to Ogden from Denver and took a position with the Southern Pacific company, In the machine- shops, and that, soon after, she cain,e to Utah to see him. -he had some business Interests in Denver Den-ver that had to be settled and he suggested that she should not come to Ogden to llvo until that could be done, and that he should get a permanent per-manent position here Sho returned to Dcnvor and did the things suggest el, but, whon she came to Ogden again, she said, Mr. Fei thought there would be no use for them to try to llvo together. She said that she afterwards af-terwards learned that he had an affinity af-finity In the person of Mario Hagan of this city and that his nfToctlonfl had gone to her. Mrs Fel Insisted that he provide a home for her In this clt, her idea being, as she put It that, "His home should be my home " But he would not listen to that Mr. Fel commenced divorce proceed Ings against Mr6 Fel, but, when the case was called this morning, his nk tornoy rested the case without the introduction in-troduction of testimony. Mrs, Fol, through her attorney, amended her counterclaim to ask for absolute divorce di-vorce rather than "separate malnten ance," as originally prayed for. The court, after hearing the statements state-ments of Mrs. Fel. granted her a divorce, di-vorce, the custody and care of the two children and $50 a month allmonj, toqether with tho costs of court and attorney fees "vVTiile testifying. Mrs. Fel wept bitterly, bit-terly, stating at the time that she was' almost prostrated with nervousness nervous-ness and a broken heart, because of her husband's actions Mrs. Mary E Sherrer, wiUi whom Mr Fel boarded for about two years after he came to Ogden, stated that whon Mrs Fei learned of his associations associa-tions with Mario Hagan sho became almost overcome with grief Mrs Sherrer said that Mr Fel kept constant con-stant company with Miss Hagan and that the glil frequently camo to her house with him |
