O Q O "WHEREAS, Tlic business men of Ogden have signed a petition requesting the. city executive to declare June 13, J9JI, a legal holiday; and , o WHEREAS. The Grand Council of the Commercial Trav- O i elers of the Intermounlain States will open its annual eon- vention in Ogden City. Utah, on Tuesday, June J3lh, 1911 ; therefore, v 1, William Olasmann, Irayor of Ogden, "Utah, by virtue of the above petition and by the power vested in me by the signers thereto, do hereby sot apart and declare said Tues- day, June 13, 1911. to be a Commercial Travelers' holiday, ' and all Commercial, Travelers and the signers of the said petition are hereby commanded to lay aside all business and I other ordinary pursuits and join with the other people of R ! Ogdcn who are invited to celebrate said day as "Coinmcr- I cial Travelers' day." That each and all of the inhabitants of Ogden City arc requested to heed this, the first proclamation of the IMayor of Ogden during the year 1911. This action Is taken tak-en In honor of the United Commorclal travelers' association, which holds I its annual convention hero next week All residents of the city are cordially cordial-ly Invited to Join the Knights of tho Grip in a grand celebration on that day. A number of attractions will be staged during the day for the entertainment enter-tainment of the visitors and their Ogden Og-den friends. The business district of the city will present a gala appearance ap-pearance with hundreds of yards of bunting and thousands of pennants adorning the business houscB. In tho evening tho linos of Incandescent lights at all Btrcot Intersections will add to the general effect.
