Show THREATENS LIFE OFBPLOYER. Charging thnt t.ie man had threatened threat-ened to kill him. George II. Colmere, a farmer residing near Kaysville, caused the arrest of George W. Har-gis. Har-gis. a farm hand, in this city last evening. Tho arrest wns made by Deputy Sheriff Harris of Davis county. coun-ty. Hargis has been working for Col-more, Col-more, and yesterday they had a dispute dis-pute over wages, the farm hand charging charg-ing that Colmere refused to pay him the money ho had earned. The farmer claims that Hargis threatened to kill him and the entire fnmlly and sent a hurry-up call for Sheriff Harris. When he loamod the story he telephoned tele-phoned to the sheriff's office to have a man arrest Hargis when he arrived in tho city on a Bamberger train. Hargis did not deny that he had had trouble with Colmere, but told the local officers that the farmer had exaggerated ex-aggerated the alleged threat He claims to have used only a favorite expression which ho brought with him from Missouri, and which was "I'll knock a holo through you." Har,?is was takon back to Farming-ton Farming-ton by Sheriff Harris last evening and lodged in jail. |
