A surpriso party given Wednesday evening, April 2G, at the home of Edward Ed-ward F. Jones, 3G0 Thirty-nfth street, by Mrs., Edward F. and Mrs. Elmer C. Jones, tho occasion being tho anniversary anniver-sary of their husband's birthday. An enjoyablo evening was spent in playing play-ing cards and games, Intermingled with music. ( Miss Dorothv Browning entertained fifty young friends at a dancing party at tho Browning homo an eveuing last week when a delightful time was experienced ex-perienced by all. The spacious basement base-ment was arranged and made attractive attrac-tive for tho dancing, and delicious punch was sorved. At midhlght the gay party was suc-moned suc-moned to the dining room, where a sumptuous repart was served Red American Beauty roses and festoons of red chiffon, with the effoctlvo lighting, light-ing, mnde, with the perfect arrangement arrange-ment of fine china, cut glass and silver, sil-ver, with the bright young faces, a charming picture. A delightful surprise party wa3 given at the home of Mrs. Edward Jordan, Thursday of this week- A delicious de-licious luncheon was sorved and one of tho plcasantest social occasions of the season followed.
